IDGAF

There's a certain new type of bigotry. And this one is far worse than a certain Orange Mop Gentleman (henceforth called OMG), wanting to build a Yuge wall around his land or denying access to people of a certain faith. 
It is worse than discrimination by Race, Gender, Colour, Religion, Creed, Class, Socio-economic background, 
Even the simple divide of people by "those who can speak English (fondly called "peters") and those who cannot, not very fondly called "Country Brutes". 
In fact, it is even worse than the "North South" divide - of the Madrasis (that bunch of people from the south - I mean, South of Chembur, who are constantly only gulping Idli Dosa Samburr) and the #Amits, the "Yindi" speaking population of India..
Even worse than the "working women" and "housewives" divide. 

And that's the bigotry (Yes, it is a strong word, eh?) of those "in the know" and the "ones who aren't". It's between the "Ones who have watched GOT", and "What is this Game of Thrones?"
Between the ones who have watched every episode of Friends, Big Bang Theory, Suits, Dexter, House of Cards, Breaking Bad and a Gazillion other shows / movies...and the others who frankly DGAF to what this is.

Its the one between "How come you aren't a Sachin Fan? He's GOD man?" and IDGAF, I care two hoots about a curly haired MP who doesn't attend Parliament or asks for unnecessary tax rebates. IDGAF if he scored a gazillion runs. The only run I want him to make, is the one that leads to Rajya Sabha. 

It's the one between ones who read only Kafka, Kerouac Nietzsche, Gibran, Ayn Rand or Dostoevsky and the ones who read Sheldons, Robins, Archers, or nothing at all. Or worse, the ones who read CB. 

Its the one between the ones who talk of Existentialism, INTJ, ENFJ, etc..and the ones DGAF what these are.

Its the one between "a Gourmet connoisseur" and a "PIZZA means PIZZA pa, why "PeetZah, I cannot live without thayirsaadam, anyways"

Its the one between - "Pppah...what a beautiful rendition in Sivaranjini, especially the charanam..." and the ones who go "Appidi Podu Podu Podu..."

Its the one between the "look happy for the Selfie", and the "I am very very happy machaan!"
The one between "Artistically Aware" and "mainstream commercial"

Its the one between those who are on FB, WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat ("but I uninstalled and boycotted it" - NOT, I KNOW you still use it), Tinder, Instagram, Vine, Periscope, Filters etc and the ones who use a phone for making calls and sending "SMS". 

Bear my words, this divide is widening, it is burning our society. The importance that's attributed to be "aware" of these material things, profoundly impacts the mindset. Especially of those who DGAF. It's as if, we make them to be inadequate, incomplete, incompetent, impotent even.

Well, IDGAFF! Let's not treat them as lesser mortals. 

Someone once said, "If Ignorance is Bliss, you must be Orgasmic". Go Now and show me a person who doesn't want to be Orgasmic.
